I recently saw this video produced by GRAIN and Harrison Mendel that was a beautiful take on why we engage in pursuits that can mean so much to us, and so little to others.
"Beautiful Idiot takes you on a ride through the mindset and motivations of those who feel driven to pursue greatness, how it can feel to fall short, and the consequences of reaching a lofty goal when the struggle to get there has defined you for so long."
Aside from the narrative, the sound design and audio mixing was beautifully done to bring out the rawness of the riding and create some truly cinematic moments. Sometimes it's nice to be reminded that not everything we produce has to be broken up into 1 minute clips to satisfy our ever-shortening attention spans. If this doesn't get you psyched to go ride or film or push yourself in whatever you're pursuing, I don't know what will!
